CHANDIGARH, Nov 24: As many as 4,108 students took part in various competitions which were organised by the Chandigarh Librarians Association on Saturday.

Deepak Khanna, associate editor of the Competition Master, called upon students to adopt libraries as there was no substitute to books.

Giving details about the competition, I. B. Verma, general secretary of the association, said that main objective of these competitions was to create awareness among students about libraries and good books.

Following are the results of slogan-writing, cartoon-making and handwriting competitions in order of merit:
