VADODARA, June 6: After issuing a summons to all the nine people allegedly involved in instigating the city-based businessman Bharat Shah to commit suicide, the Detection of Crime Branch DCB on Sunday issued a public notification asking the accused to present themselves in the DCB8217;s office in Swaminarayan temple building immediately.

The notification, signed by DCB inspector R A Munshi, warned the culprits of strong legal action if they failed to appear before the police.

According to Detection of Crime Branch sources, if the accused remain absconding without valid reason, their immovable properties can be attached through legal action in order to force them to surrender to the police. The names of Nilesh D. Patel, Ajay alias Touchko Patel, Kalidas Ambalal Patel, Bhupendra Ambalal Patel, Praveen Bhogilal Jain, Umesh Vithalbhai Patel, Ashok Patel, Bhagabhai and Jadia are mentioned in the FIR as accused persons.

Munshi also appealed to members of the public to inform the police if they have any information regarding the whereabouts of the people wanted in the case and assured informers that their names would be kept a secret.

Informers giving the correct whereabout of these people would also be suitably rewarded. Information regarding the accused can be given to the Detection of Crime Branch on phone number 460407, or the city police control room on 425555 and 431500.
