Accommodating Lalu

RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav was joyous when the Election Commission last month recognised his party as a national party. He was elated when the EC accepted his request to retain the lantern as the RJD8217;s poll symbol. Now he is looking for a place to celebrate the achievements. His party leaders are busy looking for a sprawling bungalow to house the RJD8217;s office, akin to those possessed by the Congress and BJP. But it is not easy going as Lalu wants it not only in Lutyen8217;s Delhi but also close to his Tughlaq Road residence. After dubbing his leaders 8220;worthless8221;, Lalu has taken over the task from them. It is learnt that Lalu is in a hurry, aware that his days in power at the Centre could be numbered.
