7 bodies yet to be identified

Seven of the 59 victims in the S6 coach of Sabarmati Express at Godhra railway station are still unidentified. Officials say there is little chance of them being identified now as the DNA profiling is complete and samples taken from the seven bodies could not be matched with those received by the Directorate of Forensic Science. DFS scientists had identified 12 of the 19 bodies, charred beyond recognition.
