The incident was reported at 10 am on Wednesday on DBG Road in Central Delhi. Singh8217;s relatives said that he had left his West Patel Nagar residence at 9.15 am to go to the cloth shop in Karol Bagh where he works as a salesman.

Singh8217;s son, Jaipal Singh later received a call from the shop owner, informing him that he had met with an accident on DBG Road.

8220;I was told that my father was crossing DBG Road after getting down from the bus, when a scooterist hit him. My father fell unconscious on the road. A driver who works in my father8217;s showroom told me that beat constables in the area had directed the scooterist, Ankit Bansal to take him to the nearby Bali Nursing Home in an autorickshaw,8221; said Singh8217;s son, Jaipal Singh. The autorickshaw driver said he dropped Bansal and Singh outside Bali Nursing Home. Singh was still unconscious. The driver left after Bansal paid him.
