NEW DELHI, November 3: The Gokulpuri police today arrested four men who have been accused of murdering an Indian Railways clerk and his brother-in-law, after getting into a fight over a match box.

Railways employee Vinod Kumar 30 and his brother-in-law Mohan 35 were attending a relative8217;s wedding in Gokulpuri, north-east Delhi on Sunday night. Four men later identified as Sandeep, Hanuman, Khemchand and Chander approached Vinod and asked him for a match box. A man standing next to Vinod and Mohan mocked the men and told them: 8220;This is not a paan shop.8221; The police said that Vinod and Mohan started laughing, thus enraging the other group.

The matter didn8217;t end here. After the wedding, the two were leaving for Ram Kishan8217;s house no. D-26. Ram Kishan 60 is Vinod8217;s father-in-law. It was here that the four men accosted them and thrashed them. They then stabbed Vinod repeatedly in the stomach and thigh, while Mohan was stabbed in the right thigh. The four then fled.

Tragedy struck the same family twice. On hearing the news of his son-in-law8217;s death, an ageing Ram Kishan collapsed and died of a heart attack. The police said that he had a history of heart trouble, and had earlier suffered a stroke. However, the police have said that no case can be made out here as it was a natural death.
