CHANDIGARH, Sept 30: In yet another clash, 11 persons were injured, four of them seriously, after they were attacked with batons and bricks as rival union members clashed outside the Sector 34 Food Corporation of India8217;s office, today morning. The two groups had reportedly gathered there for the opening of tenders.

Soon after the incident, 16 persons, allegedly belonging to a truck union based at Banga were arrested by the Police under Sections 147, 148, 149, 307, 323 and 326 of the Indian Penal Code. The accused, according to the Police, are Narinder Singh, Bant Ram, Amarjeet Singh, Darshan Singh, Avtar Singh, Surinder Pal, Dev Raj, Jaswinder Singh, Amarjit Singh, Paramjit Singh, Rajinder Singh, Satwant Singh, Tarsem Singh, Rajinder Singh, Jaswant Singh and Jaswir Singh.
