“I met Deepika before her marriage. All she wanted was glowing skin and hair. She drank this juice regularly for three months. The results were for all to see,” said Shah.

How effective is this juice?

Drinking a healthy juice with ingredients like mint leaves, coriander leaves, neem leaves, curry leaves, and beetroots might work in enhancing overall well-being. However, its effectiveness in helping with glowing skin is debatable, stressed Dr Rinky Kapoor, consultant dermatologist, cosmetic dermatologist and dermato-surgeon, The Esthetic Clinics. “People often look for some sort of shortcuts and hacks to achieve long-lasting skin benefits,” added Dr Kapoor.

It can also affect your gut health resulting in digestive problems like indigestion, constipation, gas, and diarrhea, pointed out Dr Kapoor. “People with certain skin problems like rosacea, acne, eczema, and dermatitis should avoid drinking this juice in excess as it can cause flare-ups and allergic reactions,” Dr Kapoor stressed.

One should consider consulting a doctor before trying these hacks to ensure their safety.

According to Dr Kapoor, glowing skin requires collective efforts like healthy food choices, cutting down on sugar and excessive sodium, drinking 1 to 2 liters of water per day, and a workout regime for more than 45 minutes. “Incorporating a skincare routine might help achieve that naturally glowing skin,” said Dr Kapoor.
