(Pic source: Instagram/Blac Chyna)American model and social media influencer Blac Chyna recently got her facial fillers dissolved, a week after getting silicone removed from her breasts and butts. Opening up about her decision to get rid of facial fillers in an Instagram video, Chyna shared, “Hey Guys! I’m back. I am on my way to get these fillers dissolved for my cheeks and jawline because enough is enough. It all has to come out”. Adding that she has been warned that getting fillers removed “burns a lot or stings,” the 34-year-old added that she “ain’t even worried about no stinging, I just want it out.”
In the video, her plastic surgeon can be seen asking her about the decision to get the fillers removed, to which she responded, “I feel like I’ve outgrown that, and it’s just time for a change. And I just want to be good.”
Captioning her video, “I remove all my face fillers, I’m so happy,” Chyna thanked everyone for their “prayers, love, and support” in the comments section.

Speaking to indianexpress.com, Dr B R N Padmini, Consultant Plastic Surgeon, CARE Hospitals, Hi-Tec City, Hyderabad said, “Facial fillers are a type of cosmetic treatment that involve injecting substances such as hyaluronic acid, calcium hydroxylapatite, or poly-L-lactic acid into the skin to add volume, smooth out wrinkles, or enhance facial features. However, sometimes people may experience complications or changes in their appearance that prompt them to seek filler removal.”
Explaining the process of filler removal, she added, “The process of removing fillers involves the use of an enzyme called hyaluronidase, which breaks down the hyaluronic acid in the filler. But this reversal injection works for fillers containing hyaluronic acid only. That’s why it is very important to have a documented note or prescription about the type of filler before proceeding with reversal injection”.

The expert added that usually, a reversal injection is indicated if one does not like the appearance after filler injection or in case of a minor complication. “The enzyme is injected into the treated area calibrated according to the units of filler injection and the filler gradually dissolves over a period of a few hours. The procedure can be performed by a trained medical professional, such as a plastic surgeon, or a dermatologist”.
While the procedure itself is generally well-tolerated, there may be minimal discomfort or swelling following the treatment. “It is important to consult with a qualified medical professional to determine whether filler removal is necessary for the individual case. The procedure may not be advisable in some situations, such as if the filler has been in place for a long time or has caused significant changes in the skin’s texture or appearance,” concluded Dr Padmini.
