Swine flu cases goes upto 27 in JK

With two more persons being tested positive,the total number of the affected due to swine flu in Jammu and Kashmir has gone upto 27.

With two more persons being tested positive,the total number of the affected due to swine flu in Jammu and Kashmir has gone upto 27.

Of these,14 have tested positive for the influenza in Jammu province and 13 others from Kashmir valley,state health department officials said.

The two,tested positive for H1N1,have been put on Tamiflu and their condition is stable,they said.

All the patients,who are tested positive in Jammu and Kashmir,have responded well to tamiflu and were improving after receiving treatment,they said.

As many as 147 samples were sent to NICD,New Delhi,for tests from the state,of which 27 have tested positive.

As many as 132 reports have come back from NICD New Delhi and 15 reports are still awaited from the NICD,they said,adding that 105 reports were found negative.

Dr R S Charak,who has been appointed as a Nodal officer for dealing with swine flu matters,said that the government has enough stocks of medicines to treat the virus.
