These are some of Kajol's choices (Source: Kajol/Instagram) Trust Kajol to spill some beans about her life, family, and relationships every time she makes an appearance. As such, when asked about her marriage with husband Ajay Devgn and what they like to eat on date nights, The Trial actor was quick to retort, “We are very boring. We eat diet food.”
“He likes his Chinese. By default, we land up eating Chinese on date nights,” added Kajol, in a conversation with Kamiya Jani, founder of Curly Tales, as the duo enjoyed a Japanese spread in Mumbai’s Kofuku restaurant, comprising Tuna Sashimi, Chilli Garlic Edamame, Salmon Sashimi, Okonomiyaki, among others. Kajol also opened up about her love for fish and chips and how she has tried it in every nook and corner of the world.
Talking about her family’s love for pani puri in monsoon, Kajol said, “In monsoon, my children love pani puri. Everybody loves pani puri. Especially when my daughter comes. My mother-in-law makes pani puri for everybody.”
She also opened up about holidays and how her family, including daughter Nysa and son Yug, prefers going to Goa and Karjat. “Family loves going to Goa and Karjat. Goa is an all-time favourite. We love Goan food. We have a farm in Karjat so it is a second home,” expressed Kajol.
“I want to go to Japan. I want to plan and go in the season of cherry blossoms. I want to do China, Norway, and Alaska. But before that, I need to be fit for Alaska,” Kajol candidly shared.
Admitting that happiness is a choice, Kajol said, “When you wake up in the morning, you choose to be happy regardless of what you think are the problems in your life. So, I choose to be happy. I choose to be happy every day.”
She also opened up about what makes her irritated. “A lot of things. I go through serious road rage at times when I am driving,” she said, asking why people drive so slow in the middle of the road.
And what matters most to the 48-year-old? “My peace of mind,” asserted Kajol. “My peace of mind really matters. I am learning to realise my limits. I am definitely not a superwoman. I don’t want to prove it to anybody. So, I don’t have to do everything in one day. If I want to 10 minutes and just do nothing, then I have a right to do that. Nobody can take that away from me. Even if I look foolish, it is fine. Never was in any race.”
However, admitting that she feels guilty for taking time out from her busy schedule on certain days, she accepted that she is trying to work on it. “When you get that time out, you feel a little guilty. I am teaching myself that I don’t need to feel guilty for doing that. Take 10 minutes out of any day and just do nothing,” said Kajol.
