According to Manya Jaitely, a makeup expert at Swiss Beauty, this trend diverges from the conventional sleek and sharp winged eyeliner, opting instead for a softer, more rounded approach. “The technique mimics the adorable puppy dog eyes, creating a look that is both charming and expressive,” Jaitely explained.

Umesh Madan, founder and CEO of Book My Makeup, shared insights into achieving the perfect puppy eyeliner look. “Makeup artists typically experiment with methods such as drawing a tighter line along the waterline, slightly extending the line past the inner corner, and emphasising the eyes’ inherent roundness,” Madan noted. The goal is to channel the endearing gaze of our four-legged friends, giving the illusion of bigger and more expressive eyes.
