Wedding Diaries: A two day bridal expo before wedding season

The wedding season is still a few months away but preparations have already begun at BlingBling. The quirky designer store in Manimajra run by sisters Ashita and Mini Sondhi is known to house an eclectic mix of labels and is all set to host a pop-up mini exposition called “Wedding Diaries”. “We essentially wanted to offer different options at one place and the ones that can help one gear up for the wedding ahead,” explains Ashita. The two-day expo,which rolls out on Saturday,will offer trousseau guidance by designer Mini Sondhi who specialises in contemporary bridal outfits. Also part of this bridal pack is the label Rani Pink by Simran, a young entrepreneur from Delhi,who designs saris and suits. “We wanted to make the event interactive with no pressure to make impulse purchases. The aim is to introduce a new selection of labels such as Kolkata-based label that offers trendy yet pocket-friendly tunics,” adds Sondhi.

The expo will also introduce the concept of I.Style makeovers,where well-known bridal make-up artist Tanvi KG will be available for personal sessions to clear bridal queries about make-up,skin troubles and hair styles. She would also dish out free demos at the event. An artist from Pramod Mehendi Design,will also be available to showcase the new styles. For those looking for options in wedding cards and chocolates,BlingBling has roped in the brand,Chocolique,which will present new flavours at the venue along with the label Create a Flutter. Run by city-based duo Suneet and Bhavneet,the label offers customised wedding cards and stationery.

Wedding photography is a whole new specialisation now and photographer Amit Sood from the popular Roshan Studios would be at hand for consultations. Rasa Jewellery,a semi-precious jewellery brand along with Timeless Jewels,will also showcase their latest collections. To give a perfect wedding ambience and to provide the finishing touches to one’s ceremonies Elevate Artist Management is joining hands with BlingBling. Their lead guitarist would also perform during the expo while Renu Thakur,a well-known tarot reader would also be present.
