UPPSC PCS, RO/ARO Exams Row: After a four day protest by UPPSC aspirants, the Commission, after holding talks with the representation of aspirants today, accepted the demand of conducting PCS exam in ‘one day-one shift’.  However, on similar demand about the exams of Review Officer and Assistant Review Officer, the Commission has conveyed the aspirants that a committee is being formed to look into and decide about conducting these exams. The committee will submit its decision very soon, confirmed a government spokesperson.

The UPPCS aspirants were against the decision to conduct the RO-ARO and PCS preliminary examinations over two days.

UPPSC secretary Ashok Kumar met the protesting students.

“Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath took cognizance of the demand of students in Prayagraj and asked the Commission to take necessary decisions by communicating and coordinating with the students refgarding the PCS Preliminary Examination 2024 in one day. A committee has been formed by the Commission for RO/ARO (Pre.) Examination-2023. The committee will consider all aspects and submit its detailed report soon,” as per CMO.

The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has scheduled the Provincial Civil Service Preliminary Examination for December 7 and 8. The Review Officer and Assistant Review Officer preliminary examinations, scheduled to be held between December 22 and 23, are postponed.
