Jharkhand government has begun steps to make the existing Lokayukta Act more stringent,Chief Minister Arjun Munda said on Tuesday. Addressing a press conference,Munda said,The government was committed to eradicate corruption in all spheres of life and wanted to make the act more stringent in nature. Lokayukta should deal with officials,politicians and others from top to bottom level to eradicate corruption,he said adding that he favoured chief minister's office should also come under its purview. Initiatives to include top to bottom level officials and others under Lokayukata's purview are being considered, Munda said but did not elaborate on the time-frame. The government will ensure required amendment in the act soon,he said.
