A senior police official of Jammu and Kashmir has said a close watch needs to be maintained on the activities of some “anti-social elements” who are out to instigate people against law enforcing agencies in the state.
“Some anti-social elements are trying to instigate people against the law enforcing agencies and provoke them so that they could get a chance to fulfill their nefarious designs,” Director General of Police (DGP) Kuldeep Khoda said on Sunday.
Speaking at a meeting to discuss the security situation in Doda,Kishtwar and Ramban districts of Jammu region Khoda complimented the police and security agencies saying,”Our jawans and officers showed maximum restraint to save life and property of people despite risk to their own lives.”
The DGP also laid emphasis on professional policing,coordinated counter insurgency operations and professional crowd management techniques.
Flanked by the Principal Secretary Home,B R Sharma,Khoda asked the officers to give a patient hearing to the grievances of the people.
“Our goal is to serve people and ensure normalcy in the state”,he said and praised the security personnel for conducting successful anti-militancy operations besides avoiding collateral damages.
