BJP chief and Union Health Minister J P Nadda Sunday said the BJP has become the world’s largest political party with 14 crore members and two crore active members.
Addressing the ‘Saradhyam Public Meeting’ in Visakhapatnam, Nadda highlighted the party’s political strength that comprises 240 LS members, around 1,500 MLAs and more than 170 MLCs. Nadda credited the PM Narendra Modi-led NDA regime for achieving the big feat by being responsible and responsive.
“In India, we have NDA governments in 20 states and BJP governments in 13 states. We are the largest representative party in the country,” he said.
Nadda praised Andhra Pradesh CM N Chandrababu Naidu for leading the state on the path of development. Nadda said 11 years ago, it was politics of non-performance and “corruption was rampant”. “In 11 years since PM Narendra Modi took over, we are seeing politics of performance. Modi government has fastracked development. It is a government that cares for the people.”
He stressed that the party has delivered on promises like construction of the Ram temple, changes to CAA and the Waqf Act.
Speaking about the post-bifurcation phase of Andhra Pradesh, Nadda said the Modi government has fulfilled several promises, with the Centre sanctioning educational institutions, railway stations, Vande Bharat trains, airports, ports and fishing harbours and more than 10 medical colleges.
