PM,Sonia steer clear of question if Pranab will be Prez candidate

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Congress President Sonia Gandhi today steered clear of questions whether they supported the candidature of Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee for the President’s post.

Singh steered clear of a question on whether he will be able to ‘spare’ Mukherjee.

“I will not answer any question at the moment,” replied Gandhi to a similar question.

The two were responding to questions by reporters after the release of UPA II’s report to the people on completion of the government’s three years in office.
