Days before the December 20, 2014,  the live show, the organisers ‘Only Much Louder’ (the firm that also produces the NH7 Weekender music festival) had obtained an NOC from the Rangbhoomi Prayog Parinirikshan Mandal, a wing of the Department of Cultural Affairs, which is the nodal authority for granting performance licenses for stage shows.

Citing the improvisational nature of the show, the officer said that the organisers had obtained all licenses from several agencies to go ahead with the show, but “misrepresented” those licenses.
