J-K highway closed for traffic,reopened

The 300-km long Jammu and Kashmir highway remained closed for three hours in the morning due to heavy snowfall at Jawahir tunnel on Thursday,police officials said here.

Heavy snowfall blocked the Jammu-Srinagar national highway at Jawahir tunnel area,205 kms from here,early this morning,they said.

The road was later cleared of snow by Border Roads Organisation,they said,adding traffic,which was stranded for over 3 hours,resumed.
