BJP MP wants aid,martyr status for Chamel Singh

With the Punjab government announcing Rs 1 crore for Sarabjit Singh’s family and declaring him to be a national martyr,BJP Rajya Sabha member Avinash Rai Khanna has written to the President,Prime Minister and Union finance minister demanding a compensation of Rs 25 lakh for the family of Chamel Singh — a Jammu resident who was tortured to death in Kot Lakhpat jail of Pakistan recently. He also demanded that Chamel Singh be declared a martyr.
