The results of Common Entrance Test (CET) for admission to Panjab University departments were declared late in the evening on Monday. While Dikhsha topped in the exam in the medical stream,Sakshi turned out to be the topper in law.
A total of 8,250 candidates had appeared in the exam held on May 27. The test conducts admissions to key departments in the university which include MBBS at Govt Medical College and Hospital (Sector 32),BDS at Harvansh Singh Judge Institute of Dental Sciences (PU),BAMS at Shri Dhanwantry Ayurvedic College,Sector 46,BHMS at Homeopathic Medical College,B Pharma at University Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (UIPS).
The other courses include BA LLB (Hons)/BCom,LLB (Hons) five-year integrated courses at University Institute of Legal Studies (UILS),BA LLB (Hons) five-year integrated courses at UILS,Swami Sarvanand Giri,PU Regional Centre in Hoshiarpur and Ludhiana,BSc (Hons School) in Anthropology,Bio-Chemistry,Bio-Physics,Biotechnology,Botany,Chemistry,Geology,Mathematics,Mathematics and Computing,Microbiology,Physics,Physics & Electronics and Zoology.
360 BBA seats in city colleges
The admission process to city colleges will begin by the end of this week. In BBA,city colleges offer 360 seats. The course is available in a few colleges. The fee for the course will be specified by the Panjab University. The annual fee may vary from Rs 28,000 to Rs 30,000 in different colleges,according to last years records.
In addition to GGDSD Sector 32,DAV College Sector 10,Post-Graduate Government College Sector 11 and Dev Samaj College for Women Sector 45,PGGCG Sector 42,and MCM DAV Sector 36 have also applied for introducing the same course.
