Denying allegations of assault and blackmail made by YouTuber Lee Jin Ho, Sae Ron’s alleged husband shared a marriage certificate as proof of their relationship. According to his statement, the two met in late 2024 through an acquaintance and quickly developed a strong connection. They legally married in the U.S. on January 12, 2025, in a private ceremony with only witnesses present. However, he admitted the marriage was an impulsive decision, and soon they mutually agreed on “an annulment” due to practical issues like long-distance challenges and personality differences. “We fell in love fast and made a quick decision, but ultimately, we realised it wasn’t sustainable,” he explained.

Kim Sae Ron’s husband denies assault allegations

Addressing claims of abuse made by Lee Jin Ho, he insisted that no such thing ever happened and challenged the YouTuber to release photos of the alleged bruises. In his statement, Sae Ron’s husband said he resides in a quiet U.S. apartment complex where any incident would have been immediately reported. “It is built such that if assault had taken place, the floor below would immediately make a report. In addition, assault in America results in strong legal responsibility.”

He also pointed out that Kim Sae Ron willingly visited him in the U.S. three times after their first meeting. “If I had assaulted her or locked her up, why would she voluntarily return to visit me every month?” he questioned. Challenging those who claim to have evidence, he urged them to release any alleged photos, adding that he is open to a police investigation if needed. “They said they had photos of the physical abuse, and I urge them to publicise the photos if they have them. If necessary, I will undergo police investigations.”

The husband also responded to claims that he controlled or monitored her. He clarified that due to their long-distance relationship, they mutually shared phone and social media passwords to build trust for each other. “She often used my phone to contact people, and we freely shared our passwords as a couple,” he stated. He also mentioned they had a written agreement regarding this arrangement.

He denied allegations that he forced Kim Sae Ron into marriage through blackmail or pregnancy. The statement further revealed that on March 18, 2025, he received anonymous messages from someone claiming to be Kim Sae Ron’s cousin, accusing him of blackmail and assault. However, when he threatened legal action, the person immediately stopped contacting him. “I am prepared to request a fair police investigation. Please stop spreading falsehoods about someone who can no longer defend herself,” he urged. Concluding his statement, he called on Lee Jin Ho and others to cease the alleged misinformation about Kim Sae Ron’s personal life.

Lee Jin Ho previously alleged that Kim Sae Ron’s family deliberately kept her marriage to the American man under wraps, supposedly to pull Kim Soo Hyun into the controversy. The two had dated in the past before going their separate ways. Meanwhile, reports suggest that Kim Sae Ron’s mother did not know about the marriage. This revelation surfaced just as Kim Soo Hyun found himself caught in a dating controversy involving the late actress when she was only 15 years old.
