Karan Johar, renowned for his iconic romantic films, recently turned to Instagram to promote his latest project, Love Storiyaan, a six-part series delving into the love tales of six real-life couples. In the promotional clip, Karan takes a dig at his own films, pointing out the double standards in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani.

In the clip, Karan talks about the portrayal of love in his earlier works. He said, “Love in my films is easy. In Kuch Kuch Hota Hai we learnt that love is friendship but only if your dost becomes hot and sanskaari in the second half.” Poking fun at the convoluted love story in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, he said, “Or maybe pyaar is helping your dadaji cheat on your grumpy grandmom while also romancing your dadaji’s ex-girlfriend’s granddaughter.” Whatever the conflict, Karan said he solves it by, “Gaana, Glycerine, and a Group Hug” or in other words, “The three G’s in K3G.” Speaking about Love Storiyaan, he said, “In real life love has to fight against hatred, prejudice, and fear.”
