Jr NTR’s Devara to be released in two parts; Koratala Siva says one part won’t do justice to characters
Jr NTR upcoming film Devara will be released in two parts, as the film's director Kortala Siva feels one part won't do justice to the characters.

Jr NTR’s highly-anticipated film Devara will be released in two parts, according to a new announcement by the makers. It is a natural decision for the makers to keep up with the trend of sequels and multiple parts. After the success of films like Baahubali and Ponniyin Selvan, makers across the board are trying to make the most out of one story. The second part of Allu Arjun’s Pushpa is already in the making, and there are many such sequels to hit films like Kaithi, Vikram, etc in the pipeline. Now, Jr NTR’s Devara is the latest one to jump on the bandwagon.
Taking to social media, Koratala Siva, the director of the film, revealed that the big-budget spectacle will be made in two parts as one film will not do justice to the characters. He said, “The film is set against the forgotten lands of coastal India and the canvas is too big. As we started shooting the film, the canvas revealed itself and started getting bigger and bigger. Every character in the film has its own weight and they need to be explored and established in depth and in detail, which we can’t justify in one part. So, we took the decision to tell this big story and canvas in two parts. The story won’t change in shape but will thrive in scale. One of the biggest canvases ever of Devara will be done in two parts and April 5, 2024 is just the beginning.”
