Bellamkonda Srinivas has been working on the Hindi remake of SS Rajamouli‘s Chatrapathi for a while now, and finally, the actor has announced the release date of the film, which will retain the title of the original movie. Srinivas on Monday took to Twitter and shared a new poster of the movie along with the release date.

The actor wrote, “The wait is over Chatrapathi in cinemas on 12th May 2023. Cannot wait to show you all our hard work and this action-packed dhamaka. Written by the one and only Vijayendra Prasad, directed by VV Vinayak.” In the picture, he is seen flexing his muscles while standing in a river holding an urn.

Bellamkonda Srinivas has been working on his body for the film and looks like he has beefed up significantly to step into the shoes of Prabhas from the original film.

Chatrapathi (2005), written by V Vijayendra Prasad, is the story of a feud between two stepbrothers. The veteran screenwriter has penned the story of the Hindi remake as well. The  Prabhas film ran for about 100 days in Andhra Pradesh.

Chatrapathi (2023) marks the Hindi debut of Bellamkonda Srinivas, and the film will also be released in Telugu. Other than Srinivas, the movie also stars Nushrrat Bharuccha, Amit Nair, Rajendra Gupta, Swapnil, and Ashish Singh. Tanishk Bagchi is composing music for the film, which is currently in the post-production phase.
