Drawback: Predictable story & narration, Too loud music, Over the top action scenes, Too much Action & elevation liberties, unengaging devotional blend and Diluted characters."

@TheAakashavaani posted on X, "#akhanda2 should be a case study for all the directors who want to make a sequel. It tells you how not to make a sequel and more importantly, it stresses the importance of self-introspection for filmmakers even when they deliver a hit. Akhanda worked because of various factors but not just because of the content. Sadly, the hero, the director, the music director and even the fans believed the content of Akhanda is a foolproof manual for a successful film. What we see in Akhanda 2 is an assault on our senses where the lead actor fights with every evil(i.e. humans, robots, et al) without giving a heck about logic & science. Senseless & cringeworthy are understatements to describe the mess of a film."
A fan posted on X, "Some people troll #akhanda2 for 'over-the-top action'…But NBK’s personality brings pure justice to the role. For entertainment, it hits the spot! Only my opinion — audience & others may Different taste #nandamuribalakrishna #akhanda2review #nbk."
Indian Express gave Akhanda 2 a 2.5 star out of 5 and wrote in its review, "Nandamuri Balakrishna and Boyapati Sreenu’s epic roars too loud. The sequel of Akhanda has some amusing, self-aware moments in the first half, before it grows too verbose and chaotic for its own good. It is the over-the-top dialogues that are asked to be delivered with utmost panache. It’s the action blocks that are designed with great intent and absurdity at once.
A user shared via X, "#akhanda2 Review: Devotion without Emotion. Second half feels better thanks to Balakrishna’s immersive performance as Akhanda which truly stands out along with a couple of solid action episodes. However, action without any emotional connection keeps the film from reaching its potential. #akhanda2thandavam ends up as an average watch that’s more for fans. Watch it with the right expectations. 2.25/5."

A cinema buff, @itsnkupdates, posted on X, "#akhanda2 is a 3-hour TORTURE! Brain-dead writing, cringe dialogues, and Balayya's OTT roaring. Directionless screenplay, cheap VFX, and ZERO logic. Thaman's BGM is the only "relief". TOTAL DISASTER! Save money & sanity! 0/5 #akhanda2review #akhanda2thaandavam."

X user @idlebrainjeevi shared his review for Akhanda 2 that read, "Akhanda 2 is Boyapati Sreenu’s divine mass, powered by a thunderous performance from NBK in the Akhanda avatar. Boyapati anchors the second half on Sanatana Dharma and high-voltage mass action, and the emotional episode involving the mother comes as a pleasant surprise and works effectively. Several dialogues and sequences that touch upon our history are thoughtfully written. This isn’t a routine masala outing. It’s a distinct divine mass film - logic and physics take a back seat, as the Akhanda character is not an ordinary man but an embodiment of Lord Shiva. Thaman’s music is a major strength, with the Haindavam song in the climax leaving a serene impact. Overall, #akhanda2 has the ingredients to strike at the box office."
A fan @debugerpogo posted on X, "#akhanda2 Balayya hasn’t acted… He has UNLEASHED a volcano on screen! Boyapati’s mass madness, bone-crushing fights, goosebump dialogues & Thaman beats on fire. Bigger, louder, deadlier than part 1. Pure MARVELLOUS MAYHEM! #akhanda2thaandavam #akhanda2review #akhanda2surgicalstrike."
@Chrissuccess called Akhanda 2's story "cringe" with "pointless lengthy dialogues." "Other than interval sequence, it's a total mess."
X page @letsxCinematica shared, "#akhanda2 and WHAT an experience! The Shiva episode hits like a spiritual high, and the interval + climax are full-on Balayya Thaandavam. Boyapati’s making, Thaman’s BGM, and 14 Reels’ grand visuals - everything fires together. Mass + Devotion done right! Rating: ⭐️ 3.5/5."

@GulteOfficial's X page posted Akhanda 2's review which read, "#akhanda2 - Emotionless ‘Divinity’ Nandamuri Balakrishna as Akhanda Rudra Sikandar Aghora, delivered a very good performance. His dialogue delivery is first-rate as always. The dialogues about Sanātana Dharma and lord Shiva, worked in favour of the film along with three well-executed blocks. However, Boyapati Srinu completely lost it this time around with a very predictable storyline, equally predictable screenplay and over-the-top action blocks which defy science and logic. It looks like he blindly believed that people would watch whatever he serves in the name of god, divinity and patriotism. Overall, after a watchable first half, the film completely lost track in the second half. NBK did his best & the producers seemed to have provided all the resources but the uninspiring & clueless execution from Boyapati Srinu, made, Akhanda 2, a wasted opportunity. Rating - 2.25/5."
Akhanda 2 hit a major roadblock just hours before release, with the Telangana High Court striking down the state government’s order permitting increased ticket prices and special premiere shows. The verdict, delivered on December 11, forced the cancellation of all paid premieres and halted the proposed ticket hike across theatres.
Acting swiftly, the court agreed to take up the petition immediately, resulting in the suspension of both the special premiere and the revised pricing. Ironically, the paid premiere tickets were already sold out before the ruling came into effect.
@LetsXOtt shared its review for Akhanda 2 on X that read, "#akhanda2 is a festival of action, emotion and divinity! NBK’s transformation is insane - pure goosebumps every time he appears. Boyapati once again proves why he’s the king of mass elevation. Thaman’s BGM and slokas shake the theatre! Kumbh Mela visuals & production quality stand out big time."

X user shared his review for Nandamuri Balakrishna's film Akhanda 2 that reads, "#akhanda2 An Underwhelming Mass Entertainer with a few mass sequences that work but the rest disappoints! The story continues from the first part with a typical Boyapati style treatment. A few mass sequences work, like the intro, interval block, and a block in the second half. However, the rest of the movie goes on a flat tone and feels outdated. The mass highs we expect from this combo are not as impactful. Though we know it will be over the top, this one goes way too overboard, diluting the impact.Thaman’s BGM, which was the highlight of the first part, only works partly here. The first film’s BGM was loud but had an energy. This one is way too loud and feels like just noise in parts. Though there are a few mass moments that work, this is not up to the level of the Boya-Balayya combo at all and disappoints. Below par! Rating: 2.25/5."
A review of Nandamuri Balakrishna’s much-anticipated film Akhanda 2 reads on X, "#akhanda2 A Cringey Troll Circus where God is overused. The story goes exactly where you expect. A saviour appears for every problem, but after a point, the actual problem disappears and only the hero buildup keeps going. Every few minutes, it is chants, roaring dialogues and nonstop fights, where Balakrishna is shown so overpowered he can wipe out armies, robots, missiles, evil forces, basically anything in his path and after a point, it just drains you out. Thaman’s background score works in a few moments but turns unbearably loud in many others. Boyapati Sreenivas garu, it is time to pause. The production value though, is genuinely top class."
The X page @Thyview shared a review for Akhanda 2 that reads, "#akhanda2 is a winner. We all expect a level of craziness and madness from Boya and Balayya combo.. but with akhanda 2 they crossed every limit and touched the sky. @musicthaman's thandavam. One of his best works. The way he takes us into a trance. #boyapatisrinu says Subtlety is overrated and holds us to the direct grandeur of what Balayya is capable of. Surprise sentiment scene is the soul in 2md half. Forget everything and just dive into it. Must Watch in Mass Theatre @RaamAchanta #akhanda2thandavam #akhanda2thaandavam."
Fans are describing Akhanda 2 as "feast for mass." One of the fans shared on X, "Good first half followed by okay second half."
