Over the last two weeks, the conversation around Bigg Boss 18 has been largely dominated by Karanveer Mehra. It all started when Farah Khan praised Karanveer for his performance on the show, and since then there has been a sense of bias towards the contestant. Recently, when Karanveer got injured during a task, it ignited discussion on social media. Ex-Bigg Boss contestant Umar Riaz also called out the makers for promoting nepotism on the show.

Umar, who participated in Bigg Boss 15, was evicted from the show after he got into a physical fight with another contestant. Recently, the actor took his Instagram and posted stories recalling a task where his forehead was injured. He pointed out how swift action was not taken back then. Umar wrote, “Face injury bollocks. I wish I could have shown my forehead scars during my task. I am sure the channel didn’t show, coz I was never their nepo child.”

Last week, Karanveer Mehra got into an ugly fight with Rajat Dalal. During the altercation, Karanveer’s specs broke resulting in him getting injured below the eye. After this, Vivian Dsena was seen defending Karanveer.

This isn’t the first time that Umar Riaz has called the makers of Bigg Boss biased. Back in 2022, when he was thrown out of Bigg Boss, the model had told TOI in an interview, “I feel that I was given the tag of being aggressive right from the beginning. Yes, I was aggressive in tasks, but I’ve never physically pushed or hit anyone. It was said that I was warned earlier too, but I don’t remember when was I given any warning. Then they said my eviction was based on the audience’s vote. But when I came out of the house, I got to know that most people were only showering love on me, so how was this eviction based on janta’s decision?”

On the work front, Umar Riaz has been away from the limelight. However, he will soon be seen hosting a fashion-based reality show on MTV.
