Shrimad Ramayan child actor Veer Sharma, 8, and his elder brother Shaurya, 16, have passed away in a tragic incident. A fire broke out at their home in Kota, Rajasthan, which led to the two brothers’ death by suffocation due to smoke inhalation. They were believed to be asleep when a short circuit triggered the fire in the fourth-floor flat of Deepshree Building, as per the Kota police.

The blaze erupted at 2 am on Sunday when the boys were alone at home. Their father Jitendra Sharma, a teacher at a private coaching centre, was attending a bhajan programme, while their mother Rita Sharma, also an actor, was in Mumbai at the time. The neighbours saw smoke coming out of the flat and broke in. The brothers were already unconscious by the time the neighbours doused the fire using fire extinguishers.

As per Hindustan Times, the neighbours immediately informed the father and rushed the boys to the hospital. When they were brought to the hospital, they were declared dead. The bodies were handed over to the family after the mother returned from Mumbai. The boys’ eyes have been donated, as per the family’s wishes. The drawing room was found to be gutted as the fire didn’t spread to the other rooms. The Kota police are further investigating the matter. An FIR has also been registered under Section 194 of the BNSS Act.
