Talking about her character, she said, “Joan as a character is complex and sensitive which was huge pull for me. I was honoured to get to bring to life a character from such a classic work of literature. Joan, as a woman was always envisioned by Rob.”
“He wanted them to have a platonic relationship based on respect and support that (though they were living together) had no romantic undertones and was not headed in a sexual direction,” Lucy added.
Few months back, it was reported that Lucy Liu has been added to the cast of James Franco’s post-apocalyptic thriller Future World along with Snoop Dogg.
Based on an original short story by Franco and a screenplay by Cheung and Jay Davis, Future World will follow young Prince from the Oasis and a robot as they go on a daring journey of self-discovery through the violent and desolate world of the Wastelands.
