Krushna Abhishek reveals what really makes Kapil Sharma’s show a success, Rajiv Thakur agrees: ‘Yeh jo bolte hain nahi karna’
Krushna Abhishek shared his superstitious beliefs behind the success of The Great Indian Kapil Show.

Krushna Abhishek and the team of The Great Indian Kapil Show is on its way to starting the third season of their Netflix show. Recently, the team, including Archana Puran Singh, Kiku Sharda, Sunil Grover, Rajiv Thakur and Kapil Sharma, attended an event to announce the launch of their third season. During the launch, Rajiv made a behind-the-scenes vlog which he later shared on his YouTube channel. Here, Krushna spoke about his superstitious beliefs he feels makes their show a hit on the streaming platform.
During the vlog, when Rajiv meets Krushna, he points out that the platform had specifically told them to not wear black but Krushna only brought black outfits to the event. Rajiv wonders if Krushna did this so he could stand out but then, Krushna explained that he did so for the sake of the show’s success.
He shared, “When we had the launch of the second season, they specially wrote that don’t wear polka dots and Kapil wore polka dots. I saw him and our second season was a big hit. So my belief is, ‘don’t do what they say’.” Rajiv also joined Krushna and declared that he too, will change his outfit and wear black. “We will do whatever it takes for the show to work,” he said.
The Great Indian Kapil Show started in 2024 with its first season that lasted for 13 episodes. The show launched its second season just a few months after the first season ended, and had another batch of 13 episodes. The show works on the same format as Kapil’s older shows which has celebrities promoting their films as the cast of the show presents its comic sketches.
