Actress Shilpa Shirdokar was a promising contender for Bigg Boss 18 grand finale but, her journey on the show ended just four days before the show’s end. After making it to the top 6, Shilpa got evicted from the show. Art director Omung Kumar brought her out after she received the least number of votes. Vivian Dsena, Karanveer Mehra, Eisha Singh, Rajat Dalal, Chum Darang, and Avinash Mishra are now the finalists on the show. Though upset with her eviction, Shilpa calls this the best journey of her life. In an exclusive interview with SCREEN, the Bigg Boss 18 contestant spoke about her experiences on the show.
Talking about her journey Shilpa shared, “We knew there was going to be a mid-week eviction, but I didn’t know I would get evicted. You cannot be confident about anything towards the end of the show. But I had the best journey of my life; I was very unique on the show.” She reflected upon her changed equation with Vivian Dsena and said, “I don’t know what went wrong between Vivian and me, he got carried away with Avinash. With Karanveer, my relationship stayed rock steady despite people telling him every week that I was tearing him apart. If one person in a relationship doesn’t want to see the other side and just believes one side of the spectrum, it’s best to walk away from him.”
She added, “I don’t know what happened in the confession room, we learned from the media about Nouran and his conversation. After the media left, the whole question that revolved around him was why he put me and Karan under the bus. Even when the media questioned him, he had no answers to give.”
Giving her opinion on being called manipulative and hypocritical, Shilpa commented, “I have learned from this house that people will judge you and will have a point of view, so you shouldn’t care much. It all boils down to a lot of insecurity. Things that happened in the week are spoken about during the weekend. When Salman speaks to them, it becomes like an ‘oh my god’ moment. We were never waiting for that attention, it would happen organically.”
Talking about who she sees winning the game now, she named Karan, but Shilpa also had an interesting take on Rajat Dalal. “My personal favourite is Karan. I have seen him grow from being criticised to being appreciated to wanting this so badly. After Karan, it should be Chum, her growth has been unreal. Then obviously it would be Vivian. I’ve not understood Rajat as a person, the kind of human he portrayed to be or shows, I have not met people like that, so he is a character I have not understood. If people think he deserves the trophy, I am no one to judge that.”
Bigg Boss 18 grand finale premiere on January 19 on Colors TV at 9:30 pm.
