This year, Bigg Boss 17 will be based around the concept of ‘Dil, Dimaag aur Dum’. As per makers, Bigg Boss will now step into the game and team up with the contestants, who are free to choose any of the three approaches. The season also promises to capture emotions, chemistry, mind games, heartwarming moments, and drama.

Bigg Boss would be biased

Every season, a section of the audience complains about makers being biased toward a few contestants. This time, Bigg Boss will be seen having his own set of favourites. He would align with those who play with their hearts, nurture and mentor those who engage in strategic mind games, and celebrate the courageous ones. The tagline rightly mentions, ‘This time the game will not be the same for everyone.’

Archive room

Among the many never-seen-before elements in the Bigg Boss 17 house, the Archive Room would definitely add a lot of intrigue. This room will serve as a comprehensive library, housing footage from every episode of the current season. Handpicked contestants will have the privilege of accessing this treasure trove of footage, allowing them to gain valuable insights into their fellow housemates’ interactions and specific events that have occurred throughout the season.

Personal space for the couples

As already reported, a few celebrity couples would be getting locked inside the house. As per sources, they would be provided a personal space in the house. This would not only give them a chance to strategise among themselves but also team up with other couples. They are also reported to have a privilege of getting into a one-on-one interaction with Bigg Boss whenever they want.

Bigg Boss makers revealed Ankita Lokhande and Vicky Jain as the first set of contestants. The promo gives a glimpse of their chemistry and romantic relationship.

Access to a phone

In a new and surprising twist, the popular reality show will allow contestants to have special access to a phone inside the house for the very first time. While details about the same is not yet confirmed, sources share that the phone will part of a sponsor deal and contestants can enjoy its perks after winning a few challenges.

24-hour live footage

After the massive success of Bigg Boss OTT 2, JioCinema will once again be running a 24-hour live channel for ardent followers of Bigg Boss. For the first time, the audience will get an opportunity to choose from two multi-cam live feeds and select the cameras they want to watch from, apart from the main live feed.

Keeping audiences engaged with BTS content

Audiences can also enjoy some exclusive BTS content and discussions around the season via JioCinema’s interactive channels like Bigg Boss Fantasy League, Janta Ka Vichaar, Bigg Boss Hits, Bigg News, Unseen Undekha, Bigg Quicks and Live Shorts.

Krushna Abhishek back with Bigg Buzz

Comedian Krushna Abhishek will be back as the host of Bigg Buzz. The special segment during Weekend Ka Vaar has him interacting with the evicted contestants and even guests to let audiences get a fresh perspective of the show.

Social media introduction

For the first time, viewers will get a virtual tour of the Bigg Boss 17 house via social media. The contestants will also be revealed on social media through a tarot card reader, who would help them pick the right approach in the game.

Contestants list

As already reported by indianexpress.com, former journalist Jigna Vora will be one of the contestants this season. She is the author of Behind Bars in Byculla: My Days in Prison, the book which was adapted as the Netflix show Scoop. Along with her, comedian and Lock Upp winner Munawar Faruqui, actor Mannara Chopra, and former Miss India Manasvi Mamgai are also confirmed.

Celebrity couples Ankita Lokhande and husband Vicky Jain, Neil Bhatt and Aishwarya Sharma will most likely be part of Bigg Boss 17. Social media creator Sunny Arya, Feroza Khan and Anurag Dhobal might also be seen in the Salman Khan-hosted show.

Bigg Boss 17 will air at 9 pm on Colors TV on October 15. It will also be live streamed on JioCinema. The show will air Monday-Friday at 10 pm, while Weekend Ka Vaar will be on 9 pm.
