Actress Divyanka Tripathi and her husband Vivek Dahiya holidayed in Europe this month. The couple shared pictures from the amazing time they had in Switzerland and other places. However, their trip took an ugly turn on Wednesday evening. While Divyanka and Vivek were in Florence, Italy, they got robbed of their belongings worth Rs 10 lakhs. Their passport and cash were also stolen, leaving them stranded in the foreign land. However, the two sought help from the Indian embassy and safely returned to Mumbai after almost a week, on Tuesday morning.
Divyanka and Vivek were spotted at the Mumbai airport on Tuesday. They happily posed for the paparazzi and spoke to them about the incident. Divyanka also expressed relief on safely returning home. She told the paparazzi, “Ghar aake hamesha sukoon he milta hai (It is always good to be back home). I am looking forward to reaching home soon and breathe a sigh of relief. It is a long story, so we will sit and talk about it at length.”

For those who don’t know, Divyanka and Vivek’s car was broken into while they were at a resort in Florence. Everything was stolen except for some old clothes and food. Ever since the incident, Divyanka has been updating her fans on social media. On Monday, the couple shared a photo with their emergency certificate. Divyanka wrote, “Heading to Bharat soon. We want to thank ‘You’ for your overwhelming love and support. A big thanks to the Indian Embassy for making our ‘Ghar Wapasi’ possible.”
After the robbery incident, Divyanka Tripathi shared a note for all those calling the couple ‘careless’. She wrote, “The car was parked in a secured resort property when the break-in happened. Please do not trouble us by suggesting how the care should have been taken. The resort knew about the ‘luggage in car’ status and they were cool about it. This can happen to anyone… But I hope it doesn’t! Be of help if you can, or empathize. If that’s seemingly difficult… Please go ahead doing your business.”
Indianexpress.com has reached out to Divyanka for a comment on the same and we still await her response. On the work front, Divyanka was last seen on the web show Adrishyam, while Vivek Dahiya had participated in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11.
