Gurucharan Singh, known for his role as Roshan Singh Sodhi in the TV show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah (TMKOC), has returned to Mumbai for the first time since going missing in April. The actor was photographed at the Mumbai airport with his pet dog. During his interaction with the paparazzi, Gurucharan addressed questions about his potential return to TMKOC and the status of his pending payment from the show’s producers.
Dressed in a floral shirt and black pants, Gurucharan spoke to the photographers on his way out of the airport. When asked about his pending dues, he said, “Haan ji, sabka kar diye almost. Almost. Kuch ka mujhe nahi pata hai, woh mujhe puchna padega (Yes, they have cleared almost everyone’s payment. I don’t know about some, that I’ll have to ask).”
When questioned about contact with his TMKOC co-stars, he mentioned that his phones are currently switched off, but assured he would reach out to them once they are back on. He said, “All my phones are switched off, but I will talk to them once I switch them on.” The actor also answered whether he would be back on TMKOC. He said, “God knows. Rab jane. Mujhe kuch nahi pata hain. Jayse hi pata chalega, aapko bataunga (God knows, I don’t know anything. As soon as I get to know, I will tell you guys).”
On April 22, Gurucharan Singh was scheduled to fly from Delhi to Mumbai but did not board the flight and went missing. A kidnapping case was filed by the Delhi Police after his father, Hargit Singh, lodged a missing persons complaint. The actor returned home on May 18, nearly a month after going missing. Following his return, DCP South West Delhi, Rohit Meena, informed the media that Singh was dealing with personal issues and had embarked on a “spiritual journey”.
