The ace director also informed his fans that he is shifting focus to Indian 2’s silver bullet sequence from May 10.

Slowed down by several obstacles, including a deadly accident on the set in February 2020 when three crew members died after a crane holding heavy lighting equipment fell on them, Indian 2 is one of the most anticipated Tamil films of recent times. Though the makers planned to resume the shooting soon after the accident on the set, the outbreak of Covid-19 put breaks on the film’s shoot. Furthermore, the untimely demise of actors Vivek and Nedumudi Venu, two key actors in the movie, also threw a spanner in the film’s works.

After successfully navigating all obstacles, the makers resumed the film’s shooting in August 2022. Starring Kajal Aggarwal, Gulshan Grover, Siddharth, Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Samuthirakani, Bobby Simha, Kalidas Jayaram, and Guru Somasundaram among others, the film is jointly produced by Lyca Productions and Red Giant Movies, while its songs are composed by Anirudh Ravichander. Since the beginning of 2023, the director has been providing updates to his fans regularly, leaving them pumped.

Shankar’s first Telugu feature film, Game Changer also comes with a star cast comprising Kiara Advani, Anjali, SJ Suryah, Jayaram, Sunil, Srikanth, and Samuthirakani among others. The film will reportedly release in Telugu along with its dubbed versions in Tamil and Hindi.
