The makers of Kaatrin Mozhi on Saturday screened a two-minute trailer for the press. The event saw Jyotika, Vidaarth, Lakshmi Manchu, Radha Mohan, G Dhananjayan and AH Kaashif among others in attendance. Speaking on the occasion, Jyotika said she was thrilled to work with director Radha Mohan after a gap of 12 years. "Nothing has changed in him. He remains the same like how I saw him during the Mozhi days," she added. The actor also expressed how she felt being the lead in Kaatrin Mozhi, the official remake of Vidya Balan starrer Tumhari Sulu. "Remakes are always a huge challenge to pull off because there's a huge responsibility that it should repeat the old magic. I've acted in around 60 films, but this is the only film that was completely shot in an air-conditioned room," Jyotika said. Heaping praise on her co-star Vidaarth, Jyotika said he would be appreciated for his role in Kaatrin Mozhi. "So far in my career, I have been most comfortable working with Suriya, Ajith and Madhavan. Vidaarth was also supportive throughout on the sets," she said. Meanwhile, Vidaarth said it has been a dream to work with Radha Mohan. "I am a huge fan of his films. And as for Jyotika, I never imagined I'd act alongside her. She is a terrific actor and that made me nervous. I did a small role in her film, Magalir Mattum, where we shot for a day. When I went back home, my wife asked me why I didn’t click a photo with her. I never knew I'd do a film with her soon," Vidaarth said. Filmmaker Radha Mohan said Jyotika had given her best for Kaatrin Mozhi. "We had so much positivity around us. I thank Dhananjayan sir for having made this project come out well. I'm sure the audience would love it." Speaking about Jyotika, actor Manobala said, "I was really worried when she bid adieu to films after marriage. But now that she is back, it feels great." Producer Dhananjayan revealed how the team had completed the film in a single stretch of shooting. "I wanted all the actors to remain so much closer to the characters. When I approached Jyotika ma'am asking whether she could give bulk dates for the film, she was forthcoming and said 'yes' immediately. As a team, we could wrap the film as we had planned," he said.
