Rajinikanth’s team says unsavoury comments made against Vijay are ‘unacceptable’: ‘Real Rajini fans would never engage in such actions’

In his statement Riaz also asked all the fans to maintain dignity and mutual respect. He wrote, “Cinema is meant to unite people, not to create divisions. In the name of being a fan, one should not spread hate against any actor or fellow human.”

He concluded his statement by saying, “As followers of our Superstar Rajinikanth, we should not engage in such activities. We should celebrate our favorite stars with love and positive feelings. Let the culture of fandom be defined by respect and pride, not by hatred.”

It all began after a person on X, claiming to be Rajinikanth’s fan suggested egging Vijay and made an inappropriate comment about him. The comment received backlash.

On the work front, Rajinikanth was last seen in the 2024 film Vettaiyan. He is currently shooting for Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Coolie. He will also be seen in the film Jailer 2, which will be a sequel to Nelson Dilipkumar’s 2023 film. Meanwhile, Vijay was last seen in GOAT. His next will be with filmmaker H Vinoth. The film is reportedly titled Jana Nayagan.
