Nayanthara was recently seen in her long awaited documentary on Netflix titled Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairy Tale which explored her journey in the movies until her wedding with Vignesh in June 2022. Days before the release of the documentary, Nayanthara issued an open letter to Dhanush which was in response to him demanding Rs 10 crore for using a 3-second-clip of the film Naanum Rowdy Dhaan. Nayanthara said that Dhanush didn’t provide a NOC for two years and didn’t allow the makers to use any video or audio footage of the film. For Nayanthara, the footage of Naanum Rowdy Dhaan was important as this was the film where she met her no-husband Vignesh Shivan.

Later, Nayanthara thanked all her colleagues from the film fraternity across Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam cinema, who gave her an NOC without “hesitation or delay.”
