Music composer D Imman says he will never work with Sivakarthikeyan again: "He betrayed me"

D Imman said that Sivakarthikeyan betrayed him and he was in the dark about it for a long time.

Music composer D Imman has delivered many hit songs for Tamil star Sivakarthikeyan. Imman also played a significant role in Siva’s emergence as a star. His albums like Seema Raja, Rajini Murugan, and Namma Veetu Pillai have worked in favour of the Tamil actor’s ascent from being an actor to a star. However, to everyone’s shock, D Imman, in a recent interview with a YouTube channel, said that he will never work with Sivakarthikeyan again in this lifetime.

“I think it (future collaboration with Sivakarthikeyan) is impossible in this birth. I can’t work with him again due to personal reasons. It is because of a huge betrayal he did to me. Maybe, if I become a music director in the next birth and he is reborn as an actor, it might happen,” D Imman said.

Imman further revealed that it took time to realise he had been betrayed. He also admitted he was friendly with Siva without knowing about the betrayal. “I confronted him on my part, and I can’t reveal what he told me. The only reason I am not telling everything openly is for the future of the children. I don’t care about what people say. I know what I am.”

The allegations made by D Imman have shocked the fans of Sivakarthikeyan. It has also left them with many questions as the composer refused to make the entire issue public.

D Imman, who won the National Award for Best Music Direction for his songs in Viswasam (2019), made his debut with the unreleased film Kadhale Swasam (2001). He later joined hands with Vijay for Tamizhan (2002), which had a song crooned by Priyanka Chopra. Over the years, D Imman has created a place for himself in the industry with hit albums like Mynaa, Kumki, and Viswasam. He last collaborated with Sivakarthikeyan for the film Namma Veetu Pillai (2019).
