Jailer first song titled Kaavaalaa; Anirudh Ravichander and Nelson Dilipkumar are back with their shenanigans

Anirudh Ravichander and Nelson Dilipkumar are back with their funny promos, and this time it is for Rajinikanth's Jailer.

You have to give it to director Nelson Dilipkumar for being upfront and candid about everything including his failures. In a promo for Jailer song “Kaavaalaa”, the director addresses the criticism of his previous film, Nelson started the trend of coming up with ‘staged’ behind-the-scenes videos for promoting songs in his films. It worked wonders for his previous movies Doctor and Beast, and now, he is back with a similar video for Rajinikanth’s Jailer.

In the video, Nelson is yet again ‘begging’ for a song from the film’s composer Anirudh Ravichander, who asks him if there’s a signature promo for Jailer. Nelson says he wants to avoid it as he is facing severe backlash from fans for such promos. The funny conversation between the two also reveals that the song is for Tamannaah Bhatia, who is playing an important role in the film. When Anirudh asks what should be the mood of the song, Nelson says, “Mood thaan mood-uh (Mood is the mood of the song).”

Nelson also says that the song should be ’70 per cent Tamil and 30 per cent Telugu’. There’s also a funny cameo by the song’s lyricist Arunraja Kamraj.

Jailer song “Kaavaalaa” will be unveiled on July 6.

Jailer, also starring Shivarajkumar, Mohanlal, Sunil, and Yogi Babu, is said to be about a film crew shooting a movie inside a jail with the hero trying to protect them from the inmates. Sun Pictures is bankrolling the project, which will be released in multiple languages.
