His Name Is John: Dhruva Natchathiram second single confirms the project is still alive

Looks like Dhurva Natchathiram, directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon and starring Vikram, is still in the making.

In 2013, Gautham Vasudev Menon announced Dhruva Natchathiram with Suriya in the lead. However, the film was eventually shelved and was revived again in 2016 with Vikram replacing Suriya. The teasers and the first single of the film further increased the anticipation for the film, which was touted as a spy thriller. Later, Gautham’s financial woes delayed the project for about seven long years, and the film still doesn’t have a confirmed release date. Now, it looks like the project is still alive as the makers have released the second single of the film, titled His Name Is John.

Director Lokesh Kanagaraj, who directed Gautham Menon in his upcoming film Leo, released the second single on Twitter. Sharing the song, he wrote, “Somethings are just worth the wait! Thrilled to release the second single His Name Is John. Can’t wait to see what Gautham sir has managed to pull off for all of us in Dhruva Natchathiram.”

Composed by Harris Jayaraj, the song is written and sung by rapper Paal Dabba. The song is unique as its blends Tamil rap with both Tamil folk music and modern sounds. It has already received half a million views on YouTube. Fans are glad to hear another song collaboration of Harris Jayaraj and Gautham Menon, who have delivered hit albums like Vaaranam Aayiram, Minnale, Vettaiyadu Vilaiyaadu.
