NEEK's first single Golden Sparrow is out.

Just a few weeks back, we saw Dhanush unleash a bloody gangster drama, Raayan. With his second directorial venture becoming one of his biggest hits, and finding acclaim after reaching OTT, Dhanush, the director, is back again. However, this time, he has put the blood, gore, and unadulterated violence in the backburner, and has teased a new-age playful and colourful romantic film titled Nilavuku Enmel Ennadi Kobam. Right from the first look, Dhanush’s third directorial ticked all the boxes of a fun and romantic drama, a genre that was missing in Tamil cinema for a while. Now, the makers have released the first single from the movie. Quirkily titled “Golden Sparrow”, the foot-tapping song by GV Prakash Kumar is rising up the trends chart on social media.

Written by Arivu, “Golden Sparrow” features the voices of Sublahshini, GV Prakash, Dhanush, and the rapper himself. Interestingly, along with the refreshing young cast of Nilavuku Enmel Ennadi Kobam, the song also features Priyanka Mohan in a cute cameo. The film, which is expected to be out this year, stars Anikha Surendran, Priya Prakash Varrier, Matthew Thomas, Pavish, Venkatesh Menon, Rabiya Khatoon, and Ramya Ranganathan in the pivotal roles.

It is interesting how Dhanush has opted for different composers for each of his directorial ventures, and for Nilavuku Enmel Ennadi Kobam, he is collaborating with GV Prakash Kumar. As actor and composer, this duo has worked in films like Polladhavan, Aadukalam, Asuran, and Captain Miller.
