First look posters of Mari Selvaraj’s upcoming film Maamannan take social media by storm; film to hit theatres in June

Sharing the first poster, actor-director SJ Suryah tweeted Monday night: “Thatamana out put onnu ready aieduchchu 👍👍👍looks very nice 👌🥰💐💐💐💐… looking forward to seeing the movie dir ⁦⁦@mari_selvaraj sir, ⁦@arrahman sir⁩, ⁦⁦@Udhaystalin⁩ sir and team 💐💐💐💐💐.”

“Awesome partner 👍👍🔥looking forward to the film 💪,” actor Arya tweeted, while actor Gautham Karthik noted: “”Poster looks Terrific 🔥 Looking forward to this film! Wishing @Udhaystalin na, @mari_selvaraj sir, #Vadivelu sir and the entire team all the very best! 😊👍🏻”.

First announced in March 2022, Maamannan will, according to Selvaraj himself, “talk about significant politics”. “Vadivelu’s role will be a surprise and it will reiterate the big legend that he is,” Selvaraj had said in an interview earlier.

Produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin’s Red Giant movies, Maamannan is one of the most anticipated films of the year since it features Vadivelu, fondly referred to as Vaigai Puyal, in a never-seen-before role, while the flick also marks the return of Selvaraj whose last film Karnan had sent shock waves across the Tamil industry. The film will also feature Keerthy Suresh in a key role.

While AR Rahman, who is joining hands with Selvaraj for the first time, composed the music for Maamannan, Theni Eswar cinematographed the film which was edited by Selva RK.
