The latest edition of Bigg Boss Tamil is scheduled to begin airing on October 1. In some promo videos released earlier, Kamal had hinted that this season would feature two separate houses, with the contestants divided between them during the show’s run.

The final list of contestants will be revealed on the occasion of the official launch. According to reports, the latest season is expected to last over 100 days and feature 20 contestants at the start. In August, the makers of the show released a 20-second promotional video, confirming that Kamal would return as the host, despite earlier rumours of his potential departure.

The sixth instalment of the show was launched on October 9, 2022, and its grand finale took place on January 22, 2023. Mohammed Azeem, a television actor, claimed victory that season, while Vikraman Radhakrishnan, another TV personality, secured the position of the first runner-up. The season saw 21 contestants and three of them ended up making it to the finals. Azeem, Vikraman, and Shivin were the last ones standing.

Kamal, at the start of season six, had taken pride in saying that the show featured a diverse set of contestants, and there is some truth to it. Another notable factor about Bigg Boss Tamil Season 6 is that it didn’t feature a big film celebrity, which made the playing ground even.
