Pineapple Expressions Studio presented three performances as a part of a day-long festival at Annnabhau Sathe Sabhagruha on Pune-Satara road on June 22. The festival will include screening of Weighing Scale, a short film written and directed by Mayuresh Joshi; Katta on the Rocks, a poetic play; and Square One, a one-act comedy written by Kashyap Deshpande and directed by Swapnil Kore. Joshi, who is also the organiser of the festival, says, ”The festival is being held to bring together experienced artistes and give a platform to emerging ones. We have tried to bring a variety of issues to the audiences.” Weighing Scale is about issues faced by working youngsters, while Square One is a humorous play dealing with brain-drain from India, and Katta On The Rocks is performed by working professionals.
