Actor Tanya Abrol who was noticed for her strong, gutsy character in Chak De, is now set to be a regular member in the CID team. The actor will be seen assisting Dayanand Shetty (senior inspector Daya) in the show, CID.
A Daya fan, Abrol’s character — Jaywanti Shinde — is a Maharashtrian girl, who hails from Haryana, and looks up to him, which makes it interesting. “It’s a very strong character but is also full of fun as she is very talkative. It’s going to add a new element to the show,” says Abrol, who is glad to be a part of it. “It’s a prestigious offer for me,” she says.
Abrol, like the other actors in the show, would also be pulling off a few stunts in several episodes. “I have been given a brief training about the action sequences, but most of it I am learning on the sets,” she concludes.
