Saurabh Shukla signs Rajkummar and Nimrat for a psychological thriller

Actor – director Saurabh Shukla has roped in actors Rajkummar Rao and Nimrat Kaur for an untitled venture, which will be produced by Nikhil Advani. The film, a psychological thriller, is expected to go on the floors by the end of this year. A source close to the project mentioned that Shukla is keen on filming integral parts of the project in Kashmir.
While talking about the film, Shukla mentioned that Rao and Kaur will be seen essaying interesting characters, that is a far cry from the kind of roles they have played in the past. “It is a breakaway for the kind of stuff that the actors have done. The film is set in a strange world, which is real, but completely secluded. A lot of thriller and fear elements will be used in the film. We are currently working on the pre-production details and the final locations will be locked in a month’s time,” mentioned Shukla.
The director-actor also mentioned that he will start shooting for Gupta Clinic, Shailendra Singh’s directorial venture, in a month or two. While the initial talks are over, Shukla will go through the final script before they start shooting. The actor will reportedly be seen giving relationship advice to people and will play a South Mumbai doctor.

Aditi Rao Hydari in talks for Kalpana Lajimi’s biopic on Bhupen Hazarika

Aditi Rao Hydari confirmed that she has met Kalpana Lajmi to discuss the possibility of doing the biopic she is making on her partner, the renowned musician Bhupen Hazarika. “Yes I did meet her and I am waiting for a script. Nothing more than that,” said Hydari.
Meanwhile, Lajmi has confirmed that Pooja Bhatt who was once co-producing the film is no longer on board and she is looking for another producer.
