After a successful run as a producer with Dabangg and then as a director with Dabangg 2, Arbaaz Khan announced the next production under his banner Arbaaz Khan Productions, titled Dolly Ki Doli. However, this time, Salman Khan is not a part of the film, but the producer-director-actor has roped in his favourite music directors Sajid Wajid who have been a constant in his earlier two films. When contacted, Wajid confirmed the news, “Yes. We are doing Arbaaz bhai’s film.” The duo, according to a source, will be composing music for a heroine centric film for the first time. The film is directed by Abhishek Dogra and stars Sonam Kapoor, Pulkit Samrat and Rajkummar Rao.

It was a pleasant sight for music lovers to see two legendary music maestros, Pandit Shivkumar Sharma and Ustad Zakir Hussain grace the stage to enthrall the audiences at the Nehru Centre Auditorium in Worli. Juhi Chawla, who has a flair for singing, was seen anchoring the event. Anand Trust, a charitable organisation involved in altruistic activities, brought together Sharma and Hussain. The duo created magic on stage, as they celebrated 41 years of togetherness with the amalgamation of the simmering sounds of santoor and the awe inspiring rhythm of the tabla.
Song Review
Hasee Toh Phasee/Dramatic melody
Drama Queen
By Priya Adivarekar
It’s upbeat, fast paced, and there is lots of drama in store for those who like dance numbers with a difference. Vishal Dadlani and Shekhar Ravjiani are back with a high-on-energy song with Drama queen in Hasee Toh Phasee. The track has the trademark stamp of Vishal – Shekhar, that is full of zest.
Amitabh Bhattacharya nails it again with quirky lyrics, which adds some extra fun. Both Shreya Ghoshal and Dadlani have sung the track with great gusto, which is clearly the highlight of this song. It’s the kind of track which you would want to play at a party; be it in the house or a discotheque, and is pacy enough to drag you to the dance floor. There are some fun lines like—Badi badi aankhein hain aasuon ki tanki and Ittar gulabo waali, bottal sharabo waali, which are accentuated with the use of interesting instrumentation. Drama queen should definitely be a part of your party album.
