Hasee Toh Phasee is about the relationship between the rebellious Meeta (Parineeti Chopra) and the mischievous Nikhil (Sidharth Malhotra) struggling with their respective families to fit in. Nikhil bumps into Meeta, while she is on the run and that too on the day of her sister’s wedding. He falls in love with Meeta’s other sister, Karishma (Adah Sharma), but their wealthy father does not approve of Nikhil as he finds him to be a lazy, good for nothing man. While trying to prove himself and impress Karishma, Nikhil gels with Meeta better. They open up to each other and in the midst of all the madness, Nikhil realises his love for the right person.
Screen Forecast
Although the film stars Parineeti Chopra, who has had a good box office track record so far, Hasee Toh Phasee is expected to get a slow start at the box-office as the promos and songs of the film haven’t been able to create enough buzz. With Gunday coming up the week after, Hasee Toh Phasee (made on an approximate budget of Rs. 25 – 30 crore) will require some exceptional word-of-mouth publicity to recovers its cost and enjoy a good run at the box-office. It will however recover the cost of production.
